Duggleby and Harrison victorious at Rutland CC 10
Adam Duggleby (Chapeau! Vive Le Velo) was the winner of the Rutland CC 10, while in the women’s event it was Sarah Harrison (Sheffield Triathlon Club) who went the fastest.
Scratch-man Duggleby won the event in style, being the only rider to complete the 10-mile ride in sub-20 minutes, 19-49 was his final time.
In second place was Neal Parkin of Team Bottrill, he rode a time of 21-01. Mirroring that time for joint second was Mark Wolstenholme (Swift Racing) who also finished the course in exactly 21-01.
Duggleby is still yet to finish outside of the podium spots in open events this season, having won all but one of those events. The trend continued as he stretched his win tally to 11 for the year.
For the women, Harrison was quickest completing the course in a time of 25 minutes and 10 seconds.
Second was Erin Avill of Storey Racing who finished in 26-07. Third spot was taken by Liz Ball of Valley Striders CC who stopped the clock in 26-53.
Coming into this event Harrison had won two of her last three time trial events, finishing third in the middle of those. This event marked her second consecutive win in as many weeks. Next up on her open entries list in the Darlington CC 50.
