Adam Duggleby (Chapeau! Vive Le Velo) took his fifth individual victory of the season in the City Road Club Hull 25, while Joanna Cebrat (Bury Clarion CC) was a clear victor in the women’s event.

Duggleby, aged 36 and from Leeds, recorded a winning time of 49 minutes dead beating World Tour rider Connor Swift (Team Arkea – Samsic) by 13 seconds.

The City Road Club Hull 25 event was held on a new 25-mile course which incorporates the Howden 10-mile course starting near Gilberdike in Yorkshire.

Duggleby also took individual victories in the Selby CC 10, VTTA Notts & E.Mids 25 last weekend and was once again in top spot.

Professional rider Swift who rode Pairs Nice and the Belgium classics road races earlier this season returned to time trials winning the Rossington Wheelers 25 earlier this month in 48-24.

However, he had to settle for second place on this occasion 13 seconds back in 49-13.

Richard Sharp (Chapeau! Vive Le Velo) finished third place overall in 50-02 ahead of team-mate and fastest veteran Darren Yarwood.

“It’s a new course but I’ve ridden the Howden 10 a lot of times so know that section,” said Duggleby.

“The road surface was good and there was not really any wind most of the way around. I probably rode a better first half than second half of the race but it was good enough to win.”

Meanwhile, in the women’s event 42-year-old Manchester-based rider Cebrat, who won the Mid Shropshire Wheelers 50 earlier this month, took top spot again clocking 1-01-30 on this occasion.

Beth Grogan (Selby CC) took second place in 1-04-06 while Sandra Burrows (Vive Le Velo) rounded off the podium positions finishing third in 1-05-46.
