Michael Gill (Saint Piran) dipped under the 18-minute mark to take a clear victory in the Chronos RT 10, while Sophie Lankford (Jadan CycleSpace- Vive Le Velo) won the women’s event by a single second.
Gill, aged 23, from Newcastle Upon Tyne, posted a season-best open time of 17 minutes and 55 seconds to win by 26 seconds.

Gill placed second in the National Circuit Championships and won the Zeus CRT 10 clocking 18-26 on that occasion.
Ashley Cox (Team Bottrill) has won five events this season but had to settle for second this time out in 18-21.
Meanwhile, Ollie Hucks (Nopinz Motip Race Team) led the charge for third with his time of 19-20 some seven seconds quicker than James Richards (AeroLab Ward WheelZ).
Fastest junior was Jacob Bush (Bourne Wheelers) who finished fifth overall in 19-31 which was two seconds quicker than fastest veteran Kevin Tye (VeloRefined Rule 5) 19-33.

The women’s event could not have been closer with Lankford’s winning time of 21 minutes and 49 seconds enough for victory by one second.
Lankford also won the Hartlepool CC/VTTA 25 on her last outing posting 1-00-41 and was again victorious on this occasion.
Pushing her all the way for victory was Hayley Rigby (Giant Camden Team Liv) who was just a second back in 21-50.
