Felix Wilkinson and Charlotte Berry were fastest male and female riders respectively as Tetbury Velos dominated their own 10-mile event in Wiltshire on Sunday.
Wilkinson, 24, clocked 19-46 to win overall by 29 seconds, while his team-mate at Tetbury Velos Berry, 27 and from Cirencester, was fastest female in 22-54.
After finishing second in his only other appearance of the season so far – the CC Weymouth 10 a fortnight earlier – Wilkinson went one better to take victory from Sam Beckett (Wales Racing Academy), while Rory Gilling (RE VO LTN) completed the podium in third spot, another 26 seconds off the pace.
Berry’s time of 22-54 gave her victory by some margin over vet Charly Helyar (VTTA West Group) with 26-53, while third fastest female was Joanna Knight (Bristol South CC) in 27-04.
Berry’s win is her first of the season so far, but comes after she was second to the promising talent of Megan Dickerson (SKODA DSI Cycling Academy) in the FTP Racing 10 on April 10.
Following this win, Wilkinson is next due to be in action at the Westerley CC in two weeks time.
The u47r course uses a stretch of the A419, starting near Cricklade and heading north to South Cerney where riders turn near the airfield at South Cerney and head back down.
