Scratch rider Jack Levick (Rose Race Team) made it three wins from his last three events by charging to victory in the Congleton CC 50, while Keri Parton (Pro Vision RC) won the women’s event.
Levick, aged 24, won both the Tuxford Clarion 3-up and LRRA 25 (Sleaford Wheelers) two weeks earlier and continued his winning run clocking a time of one hour, 46 minutes and three seconds.
The J4/16 saw riders complete just under three laps of a course starting at west of Cranage before heading out towards Twemlow Green before heading north-easterly on the A535 to Chelford.
Riders then headed north-westerly out to Knutsford before riders headed back south on the A50 to complete the course.
On the same course three weeks earlier Levick clocked 1-47-45 on his way to third place in the Dukinfield CC 50.
In good and humid conditions with a light westerly wind Levick went a minute and 42 seconds quicker on this occasion to take victory after being pushed by Ben Stead (3 RT) who placed second (1-46-49).
A close battle for third saw Congleton CC team-mates Andrew Bradbury and Ben Norbury separated by just 10 seconds with Bradbury eventually taking third in 1-48-49.
Bradbury and Norbury also helped Congleton CC to the men’s team prize alongside Philip Gleave (2-03-20) with the trio combining for a time of 5-41-07.
Quickest veteran on scratch was Alan Chorley (Seamons CC) who placed sixth overall in 1-49-44.
Taking part in her first ever open 50 event Parton set herself a benchmark by winning the women’s event in 2-04-26 just 13 seconds clear of her nearest rival.
Parton, aged 32, has previously won the Buxton CC 10 and Manchester Wheelers Hilly 20.5 already this season and added another win over the longer distance to her tally.
Veteran Lucy Rogers (Congleton CC) pushed Parton all the way for honours but fell just short finishing 13 seconds back in 2-04-39.
Rogers also helped Congleton CC to team honours alongside Claire Harrison (2-14-19) and Kerry Gleave (2-30-41).
Meanwhile, under-23 rider Jasmine Holmes (University Of Manchester CC) led the battle for third finishing in 2-12-40.
