Lloyd Chapman (Loose Cannon’s Conditioning) powered to victory at the Diss and District CC 25-mile time trial in Norfolk, while team-mate Hannah O’Brien came out on top in the women’s event with a new course record performance.

31-year-old Chapman clocked in at 51:49 to take the win, while behind him was Mark Richards (DAP CC) who completed the course in a time of 52:33 to take second place. Finishing on the final podium step was Matt O’Brien (Loose Cannon’s Conditioning) with a time of 52:40.

Since the beginning of the year Chapman has been in great form. He is yet to finish outside of the podium spots with a streak of twelve straight open events where he has finished inside the top two with victory in this event.

The B25/17 out and back course runs along the A1066 until reaching near Thetford, the riders are to turn here at the A1066 which crosses with the A1088 and they are to head back the way they came to the finish.

In the women’s event the winner was 45-year-old Hannah O’Brien, who rode the course in a new course record time of 59:42, the only sub-60 female on the day.

In second place was Laura Davies (Orwell Velo) who clocked 1:00:46 which was also faster than the previous course record, following her was Ashia Fenwick (Orwell Velo) who finished off the podium riding 1:01:26.

The Loose Cannon’s Conditioning team won the prize for fastest club, the winning trio being made up of Lloyd Chapman, Matt O’Brien and Hannah O’Brien. The fastest vet on standard was Andy Proffitt (Arctic Aircon RT).
