Douglas Watson and Lynsey Curran were the fastest male and female at the GTR-Return to Life 10-mile time trial in Eglinton on Saturday morning.
Watson (GTR-Return to Life) clocked 19-11 to set the fastest time by any rider that day. This was his first open victory of the season, having previously finished third at the Velo Club Vitesse 13.6 at the start of February.
The home club rider was last victorious at the SVTTA 15 in September of last year.
Lynsey Curran (Dooleys RT) finished her run with a time of 22-38 to finish as the fastest female respectively. This was her first open win of the season after finishing eighth at the Dooleys RT two-up, although she was the highest placed female that day.
Her last victory came at the Dooleys RT 10 in August of last year, as well as finishing 14th at the National 10 Mile Championship at the start of September.
Adam Wild (GS Metro) clocked a time of 19-12 to finish in second place by a margin of just one second.
The 21-year-old adds the podium finish to the victory he achieved last weekend at the first round of the Sigma Sports Classic Series in Dorset and will be looking to continue his fine form over the remainder of the season after achieving numerous victories last campaign.
The final spot on the podium went to Stuart Irving (Dundee Thistle) who finished his run with a time of 20-25.
This was the Scottish rider’s second podium finish of the season, adding this third place finish to the one he achieved at the Fullerton Wheelers CC two-up in February.
