The promoting club’s Rob Scott and Andrew Parnowski were fastest in the City Cycle Couriers two-up 10-mile time trial in Devon on Saturday.
31-year-old Scott and his veteran team-mate Parnowski, 49, covered the S4/10 course near Buckfastleigh in 19-52, giving them the victory by more than a minute and a half.
Second fastest pair was James and Robert Cartlidge of Plymouth Corinthian CC whose time of 21-29 was in turn 1-21 faster than Minehead CC duo Ian Piper and Scott Huish in third.
The fastest all-female pairing was Charlotte Marshall and Rachel Hackman, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines CA team who covered the course in 23-20.
The popular S4/10 course used the A38, and takes riders from the start to the south of Buckfastleigh northwards to the turn at Linhay Junction to just beyond Ashburton, where they turn back south.
Rob Scott has tasted victory in open events already this season but only as a solo rider, having been fastest in the Plymouth Corinthian CC 13 in March as well as the Sid Valley CC 10 two weeks ago.
Meanwhile Parnowski’s previous best position in open events this season has been fourth in the same Sid Valley CC 10 that Rob Scott won.
The pair will be back in action on the same course – albeit riding solo – in the Alltrax 10 on Wednesday evening.
