Greg Fitzek and Mathilde Pauls finished as the fastest male and female riders respectively at the Oxford University CC hill climb event that took place near Wytham in Oxfordshire on Sunday morning.
Fitzek (ZeroBC Race Team) finished his run in a time of 3-44 to be crowned the fastest overall rider.
This was the 21-year-old’s first victory of the season with his previous best being a second place at the Didcot Phoenix Cycling Club 10 in mid-August.
Fitzek finished second at this event last year and will be happy to have improved on his placement although he finished his run last season in a time of 3-42.
Mathilde Pauls (1904 RT) finished as the fastest female overall respectively after clocking a time of 4-56.
She adds this victory to the one she achieved at the beginning of the month at the Team Sportslab hill climb. She also finished third at the Watford Velo Sport event on the same day.
Pauls will be looking to finish her season in strong fashion as she is set to ride at the Cambridge University CC hill climb next weekend, where she will be hoping to replicate her success from today.
Tom Hazelton (Dulwich Paragon CC) finished in second after clocking a time of 4-11.
Danny Lake (Swindon Wheelers) completed the podium line up as he crossed the line with a time of 4-14 respectively.
