Chris McNamara and Robert Moore (Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT) were the fastest pairing at the East Sussex CA 23.9 two-up near Laughton on Sunday morning.
The pair clocked a time of 35-27 to top the podium. This is McNamara’s second open victory of the season after winning the Velo Club St Raphael 16.5 in mid-February. And for Moore, this was his second podium finish of the season so far after coming second at the Velo Club St Raphael 16.5.
Howard Shaw and Alex Welburn (trainSharp) were the second fastest pairing on the day, finishing their run with a time of 37-56.
This was Shaw’s first podium finish of the season after finishing fourth at the East Sussex CA 15.1 earlier this month. He last topped the podium at the Lewes Wanderers CC time trial in May of last season.
Welburn also achieved his first podium finish with this being his first event on his record.
Kevin Plummer and Simon McNamara (South Downs Bikes) finished their run with a time of 38-07 to claim the final step on the podium.
Plummer achieved his first podium finish of the open season, with the rider last being victorious at the Team Velovelocity 25 in September of last year.
Simon McNamara achieved his second podium finish of the 2019 campaign, as he also achieved a third place finish at the Sussex CA 25 at the start of this month. He will be hoping to add more to his record throughout the season and continue his good form.
