Paul Jay and Denise Hurren topped the podium as the fastest male and female riders respectively at the Norwich ABC 10-mile time trial that took place on the Harleston to Bungay bypass in Norfolk on Saturday afternoon.
Jay (Team Velovelocity) set the fastest time by any rider on the day when he finished his run with a time of 20-57 to clinch the top prize.
This was the 43-year-old’s first victory of the open season with his previous best finish being the second place he achieved at the Norwich ABC 10 at the start of July.
Martin Reynolds (Cambridge CC) was the man to finish in second after clocking a time of 21-26.
Reynolds was last victorious at the Victoria CC 10.2 in mid-June and will be looking to continue his good form over the remaining weeks of the season.
Gavin Lewis (Velo Schils Interbike RT) finished in third with a time of 21-30 respectively.
Denise Hurren (Team Velovelocity) finished her run with a time of 23-52 to finish as the fastest overall female.
Hurren was last victorious at the Plomesgate CC 10 at the start of September and topped the pile at the Stowmarket & District CC 10 in the same month.
The female rider will be hoping to continue her fine form over the remaining weeks of the season and add more positive results to her record.
