Lewis Timmins and Crystal Lane finish as top man and woman on the roads of Cumbria in the Lancaster CC 10-mile time trial on Saturday evening.
Northumberland-based rider Lewis Timmins made the trip from East to West on Saturday seeking a second consecutive event victory and headed home with the task fulfilled, clocking 19-29 in the triumph.
The Team Swift rider finished top by over thirty seconds last weekend, bouncing back from a second place the week before. The margin of victory wasn’t quite what it was last weekend but he will no doubt be pleased with his form of late.
Philip Jones (Transition Race Team) finished with a time of 19-42 which was eventually 13 seconds shy of his third win of the year after consecutive victories in his opening two events of the season.
In third, Brian Fogarty (Fogarty’s Insurance Tri Team) maintained his 100% record of podium finishes this season with a time of 19-53. Fogarty has a third place, three seconds and a win to his name so far.
In the women’s event, paracyclist Crystal Lane was fastest ahead of Charlotte Boothman (ABC Centreville).
Lane (Glossop Kinder Velo CC) clocked a time of 21-45 to finish 34 seconds ahead of Boothman in 22-19. In third was Carol Westmoreland (Border City Wheelers CC) who crossed the line in 24-51.
In other categories, Derek Parkinson (Springfield Financial Racing Team) was fastest veteran after finishing fourth overall with a time of 19-59.
Tristan Pilling (Team SB Hub) took the junior prize, clocking 21-14.
