Team Echelon riders finished first and second overall, while Michelle Fishbourne was fastest woman on day two of the Ross-on-Wye CC time trial in Monmouthshire on Sunday.
Despite finishing 12th with a time of 20-20 in Saturday’s ten-mile event, David Dickerson (Team Echelon) clocked a winning time of 30-05 on an altered 14.6-mile emergency course.
With many of Saturday’s fastest riders not featuring on the second day, the top prize was down to Dickerson and teammate Simon Garrett, who held a 14-second advantage over Dickerson at the close of Saturday’s action.
Dickerson’s combined time came to 50-25 and even with the advantage after the first stage, Garrett couldn’t hold on and suffered a 33-second deficit to his 51-year-old team-mate and finished 19 seconds adrift overall in second place.
On Sunday Garrett had to settle for third with Will Bevan (Ross-on-Wye & District CC) splitting the Team Echelon pair in second with a time of 30-34.
Michelle Fishbourne (CES Sport) topped the women’s timesheets by a mere two seconds. Fishbourne pipped Joanne Jago (Performance Cycles CC) to victory clocking a time of 35-33 to Jago’s 35-35.
Clare Greenwood (Bush Healthcare CRT) capped off the podium places in 35-53.
