Duggleby and Lethbridge on top in Cambridgeshire
Adam Duggleby and Alice Lethbridge were the fastest male and female respectively at the Viking 50-mile time trial promoted by Cambridge CC on Sunday morning.
Duggleby (Vive le Velo) clocked a time of 1-37-27 to set the fastest time by any rider that day. He has been in excellent form throughout the season, topping the podium at now 10 events so far on record.
He was last victorious at the City RC 10 last weekend and the Vive le Velo rider also won the Drighlington BC 10 the weekend before.
Duggleby will be hoping to continue his superb form in to next week, where he is set to ride a tandem at the VTTA National 50-mile Championships in Yorkshire.
Second spot was claimed by John Wingfield (Team Signum) who finished his run with a time of 1-39-39.
Wingfield was last victorious at the Virtual CC 25 in mid-May and also won the North Road CC 25 during the same month. He is next set to ride at the RTTC National 50-mile time trial on the 30th of June in South Wales.
Ben Stowe (Hemel Hempstead CC) was the man to finish in third after clocking a time of 1-40-02.
Alice Lethbridge (DRAG2ZERO) clocked a time of 1-49-07 to set the fastest time by a female rider.
The reigning National 100-mile Championship champion has been in excellent form over recent weeks, last winning the Charlotteville CC 50 in April.
Angela Carpenter (a3crg) finished her run with a time of 1-52-48 to finish second respectively. She last topped the podium at the a3crg Summer Women’s 10 on the 22nd of May and more recently achieved a third-place finish at the a3crg Summer Flying 15.
The 50-year-old is next due to compete at the a3crg 25 at the start of July and will be hoping to continue her fine form in that event.
