Claire Harrison and Joseph Dobson were the fastest female and male at the Manchester and District LCA 10-mile time trial which took place near Cranage in Cheshire on Saturday morning.
45-year-old Harrison (Pro Vison Cycle Clothing) clocked a time of 25-04 to top the standings in the women’s event.
Emily Martin (Weaver Valley CC) was only four seconds off the pace finishing in second with a time 25-09.
They were closely followed by Jayne Dickens (Pro Vison Cycle Clothing) who clocked a time of 25-15 to finish in third respectively.
28-year-old Joseph Dobson (Manchester Bicycle Club) finished his run with a time of 21-34 to finish top of the pile in the men’s event.
Dobson was last victorious at the Chester Road Club 25 at the beginning of the month and he also topped the podium at the Crewe Clarion Wheelers 16.5 in mid-May.
The 28-year-old will be looking to continue his excellent form over the coming weeks, as he is next set to ride at the Weaver Valley CC 25 next weekend.
Sam Taylor (Weaver Valley CC) was the man to finish in second after clocking a time of 22-10 at the end of his run.
This was Taylor’s first podium finish on record, with his best finish to date being fourth at the Warrington Road Club 25 earlier this month.
He is also next due to ride at the Weaver Valley CC 25 next weekend.
Tristan Pilling completed the podium after finishing his run with a time of 22-25 respectively.
The out and back course saw the riders start and finish near Cranage, making their way through Farmwood Pool, before making a turn at Chelford Cricket Club and making their way back along the A535 to the finish.
