Jessica Finney (Cycle Team Onform) & Jamie Caldwell (Portsmouth North End CC) proved to be the perfect team as they clinched victory in the Bournemouth & District Women’s Cycling Association 2-up TTT 10.
The annual event which sees each pair consist of one male and one female rider was ran out and back along the A3347 near Bournemouth, known locally as ‘the rumble strip’ due to its poor condition.
Pairs were greeted by damp conditions and breezy conditions as the competed along the flat single carriageway road.
The conditions didn’t affect Finney and Caldwell who stomped home to victory with a winning time of 22 minutes and 57 seconds.
A close battle for second saw Naomi Shinkins (Bournemouth Cycleworks) and Julian Lockwood (Primera-Team Jobs) finish in 23.16, just five seconds faster than first club riders Kirsty Mcseveney and Neil Mackley (Fareham Whls) (23.21).
The tandem competition saw veteran pairing Mary Corbett (Sotonia CC) and Paul Rogers (Velo Club St Raphael) take victory in a winning time of 23.36.
