David Leckenby (Ilkley CC) emerged victorious as Delia Beddis claimed top points in the Yorkshire Cycling Federation 15 near Arkendale in North Yorkshire on Saturday.
Leckenby, 54, claimed his first open win of 2018 over the shorter distance of 15 miles, clocking a time of 35-07 to take the win. Beddis was on hand to claim maximum points in the women’s section of the YCF Points Series.
This would be the first time the 35-year-old has featured in a YCF points event in 2018 and did so in style, winning by over two minutes.
Her time of 36-21 was enough to see her win her third event of the season.
Hannah Benson (Ilkley CC) bounced back after eight place in her last race to finish second behind Beddis.
Benson had seven podiums to her name before the race, including three wins and a second place in the last round of the YCF points series to Sarah Lewthwaite.
Benson clocked time of 38-56, narrowly pipping Fiona Sharp by a single second.
Sharp (Team Swift) won a round of the series back in March, beating Kirsty Bramley but had to settle for third this time round.
