Ryan Davies.

Ryan Davies (AS Test Team) took victory by 13 seconds in the North Hampshire RC 18.5-mile time trial, while fastest woman on a road bike was Tracy Cornell (North Hampshire CC).

In the solo category Davies’ finishing time of 40 minutes and 11 seconds was enough for victory.

The 33-year-old from Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire got his season’s campaign off to a winning start after chalking up several wins last year.

The H19/11 loop known as the Drummer circuit starts near Popham Airfield before running alongside the M3 on the A33 and then turning for home through Northington on the B3846.

Fastest veteran Jamie Pine (Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT) took second overall finishing in 40.24 while Russ Danckert (Army Cycling Union) took third in 42.15.

Host club rider Barry Tooke took the victory in the road bikes only category clocking an average speed of over 20 miles per hour to finish in 53.04.

He beat fellow veteran Jullius Reeves (CC London) into second (54.14) while Gary Martin (Westerley CC) took third in 54.52.

The fastest junior was Oliver Malcolm (North Hampshire RC) in 56.21 while team-mate Tracy Cornell was the quickest woman on a road bike clocking 57.14.
