Douglas Watson followed up his two-up win in the Dooleys RT event over 17 miles last weekend with a solo victory over a similar distance on Saturday.
It’s been a strong start to the season for Watson and he’ll be looking to replicate his form of last year which saw him a regular feature on the podium.
He racked up a number of wins over a variety of distances last season with the 10-mile VC Glasgow South and 30-mile SVTTA among them.
The GTR – Return to Life veteran clocked a time of 39.25 to take the victory, 31 seconds quicker than second placed rider David Griffiths representing Bioracer-Project GO who averaged 27mph to complete in 39.56.
Completing the podium was Griffiths’ Bioracer team mate Richard McDonald, just over a minute down on Griffiths in 40.59.
Having a fantastic ride in sixth place of the 36th starters, top espoir rider was Alexander McRae of Dooleys RT in 42.23.
