George Fox took victory in what was a competitive field in the Northampton & District CA 10 at Rockingham Racecourse on Saturday.

Just 20 seconds separated the top three at an event that had 54 riders complete and there were some great young riders mixed in with espoir Jack Patmore of VeloElite RC finishing second in 19.51.

Patmore’s more experienced team mate, veteran rider Fabos Young completed the top three, 14 seconds down on Patmore in 20.05 – enough to give him the veteran prize.

Jackie Field’s time of 22.22 was enough to give the CC Ashwell rider the women’s prize. Elaine Maitland of Bonito Squadra Corse was runner-up in 24.58. Also of CC Ashwell, Emma Koppe’s 25.51 placed her third.

Mason Bradley and Jack Mace, both aged 10, took advantage of the fact it was a closed-circuit event to ride.

The top team was Team  with the trio of Ryan Witchell, Chris Rimes and Stephen Franklin combining to winning effect.
