David Ross claimed his second hill climb win of the season as he powered to the top of the Bostal Road course in Steyning on Saturday morning.
The London Fixed Gear and Single-Speed CC rider was in dominant form at the Brighton Mitre CC event, climbing the 1,704 yards in a time of 4.12.8 to claim first step on the podium.
Ross had been in action last weekend, winning the Kingston Wheelers event on Saturday before placing seventh in the Newbury RC climb on Sunday.
Here, he was in top form again, completing 22 seconds quicker than closest rival Nick Martin of East Grinstead CC with the espoir rider posting a time of 4.34.2.
Organising club Brighton Mitre managed to get one of their own riders on the podium with Ben Huttly narrowly claiming third after stopping the clock at 4.35.2. He just pipped Thomas Doran of Hemel Hempstead CC to third by a second.
Top junior rider was Ben Griffin of Sussex Nomads CC who was eighth overall in 5.02.4 and in ninth, juvenile rider Adam Churchill of Preston Park Youth CC finished in an impressive 5.02.5.
Top veteran rider was Stewart Gregory of Nottingham Clarion CC, 12th overall in 5.10.5. The veteran prize was closely contested with Brighton Mitre CC duo Simon Dowling and Jonathan Morcambe in 13th and 14th place overall respectively.
In the afternoon, the club hosted another hill climb over 4,682 yards with a number of entrants riding both.
