Glasgow Nightingale CC placed three riders in the top four placings clocking a calmative time of 2:09.38 as they ran out victors of the Velopreda 7.2-mile charity event incorporating the Georgetown Cup by one second.
The inter-club competition sees the cumulative time of the top eight riders in each team combined to give the team winners.
Glasgow Green finished an agonising one second behind while Fullarton Wheelers took third in 2:11.47.
Karl Farmer (VC Glasgow South) broke the Nightingale stranglehold to share the fastest time of 15.09 with Graeme Cockburn (Glasgow Nightingale CC).
That was much slower than the course record set two weeks earlier of 13.46 by John Archibald (Pro Vision Scotland).
The out-and-back event along between Renfrew and Crosslee.
An added incentive of club competition which allows ‘no race or invitational’ teams to compete sees each member of the same club start at one-minute intervals.
