A perfect day dawned for the Fenland Clarion Open 25 time trial incorporating the National Clarion 25.
It was David Langlands who continued his winning form by taking first position, with Mick Hodson close on his heels and youngster Jack Levick coming with a respectable time at third.
Veteran Langlands, riding for Team Bottrill - HSS Hire, completed in 53.01, 1.56 quicker than Hodson. Levick was 17 seconds down on Hodson.
The team competition was close with Fenland Clarion CC taking it by 24 seconds from Tuxford Clarion CC, setting up a fierce competition at the Tuxford Clarion three-up next weekend.
Wendy Gooding (Team Bottrill - HSS Hire) was quickest woman in 1:03.42 and Francis Woodcock (Bury Clarion CC) was top under-18 rider in 59.40.
