Gary Chambers (Nopinz) took victory by over a minute in the Bournemouth & District Women’s Cycling Association 25.
Chambers clocked an average speed of over 29 miles per hour as he powered to victory clocking a finishing time of 51 minutes and 19 seconds.
The P413/25 course saw riders start near Lychett Matravers and follow the A35 passed Upton before turning for home at Holes Bay, only to turn off the circuit for an additional out-and-back loop to Holton Heath before the finish.
Despite cold conditions light winds helped riders to clock some fast times.
Lewis Keightley (Team Bottrill/HSS Hire), who won the CC Weymouth 10 last month had to settle for second on this occasion in a time of 52.23. He was hampered by a front wheel puncture which was totally flat as he crossed the line.
Local rider Samuel Wadsley (Poole Whls) clinched third finishing in 53.59.
Simon Healey (Andover Whls) finished fourth overall and was fastest veteran rider.
Fastest team of the day was local club Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers who placed three riders in the top 10.
Angela Burnikell (Sotonia CC) took a convincing victory in the women’s category finishing in 1:02.00. That was enough for victory of 1 minutes 48 seconds over Louisa Cooper (Bournemouth Jubilee Whls).
