David Langlands (Team Bottrill/HSS Hire) and Malcolm Smith (Peterborough CC) joined forces as a composite team to snatch victory by nine seconds in the Lincolnshire RRA two-up.
The pairing flew around the course near Sleaford, Lincolnshire clocking an average speed of over 28 miles per hour on their way to setting a time of 39 minutes and 56 seconds.
The course saw riders start on the A15 to Osbournby before heading on the A52 towards Grantham and making the return journey.
They beat the young pairing of Kieran Hotson (HMT Academy with JLT Condor) and Joe Laverick (Banks/Catford Equipe) into second by nine seconds.
Taking third place in 40.23 were Alford Wheelers pairing of Alexander Colman and Mark Bembridge.
Alford Wheelers also had the fastest women’s team consisting of Amelia Mochan and Sandra Colman who finished in 1:00.39.
This was enough for victory by 15 seconds from Elise and Amie Hatton, of Sleaford Wheelers.
