Veteran rider Jon Entwistle (GTR) beat a strong field and fierce conditions to take victory by 13 seconds in the Glasgow Nightingale 10.
Despite a strong headwind greeting riders on their return leg Entwistle clocked a time of 20 minutes and 27 seconds for victory.
The course which features a couple of drags is exposed which meant for tough conditions and slow times for a large field.
Riders complained of being at least six miles per hour slower on the return leg due to the headwind element.
David Griffiths (Pro Vision Cycle Clothing) had to settle for second on this occasion with a time of 20.40 while scratch-man Chris Smart (GTR) finished third in 20.59.
In the women’s event favourite Lynsey Curran (Dooleys RT) added another victory to her tally after also winning the Macclesfield 25 earlier this month.
On this occasion, her time of 23.34 was enough for victory ahead of Andrea Pogson (Gala CC) who finished in 24.01.
