AS Test Team’s Peter Harrison was the fastest rider at the 18.5-mile North Hampshire Road Club event held in North Waltham on Saturday.

Less than a minute separated the top three riders but it was Harrison who found that bit extra to take top spot, finishing in 40.29 – just six seconds ahead of Jamie Pine.

Pine, riding for Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT, clocked a time of 40.35. In third was veteran Pete Tadros with a time of 41.13.

This was Tadros’ second podium finish is quick succession with his last outing at an East Sussex CA event seeing him finish second. His ride was enough to see him take the veteran prize.

The only woman to finish the event was Rachael Elliott of Drag2zero who came tenth overall with a time of 45.11.

The event also hosted a two-up contest and this was won by the Andover Wheelers duo of Matthew Buckley and Simon Healey who were comfortable in victory.

They tore around the course in 41.06, 4.21 quicker than the second-placed Swindon Cycles team of Justin Robbins and Joe Schvartz who completed in 45.27.

Ian Boshier and Aron Kelly of Southampton Tri Club were third in 47.30.
