Oliver Hayward of the University of Birmingham CC team took victory in Knock on Saturday, completing the 4.5-mile Beacon Wheelers hill climb in 24.15.
He was nine seconds quicker than closest competitor Matt Moorhouse of Preston CC with the veteran rider stopping the clock at 24.23.
Muckle CC’s Matthew Smith completed the event podium four seconds down on Moorhouse with a time of 24.27.
