CC Ashwell rider William Smith took victory in Stevenage CC’s 12-mile time trial in Cambridgeshire on Saturday afternoon.
His time of 25.39 gave him the win by a comfortable 1-49 over Toby Hunt (Lampard Road Club), while the podium was rounded off by Richard Webster (Green Arrow CRT) who was another 32 seconds back, clocking exactly 28 minutes.
CC Ashwell took fourth place with Carmelo Luggeri clocking 28.50, while fifth went to Mark Greenhow of St Neots CC with 29.04.
The course took the riders from just outside Guilden Morden in an anti-clockwise circuit through Wendy and Tadlow before heading back down to the finish.
There was a two-up race as well, and that was won by Cambridge University CC duo Oliver Mytton and Tom Bishop who clocked 26.14 to win by 31 seconds from Hemel Hempstead CC pair John Lacey and Geoff Reynolds, while a composite pair of Ann Shuttleworth (Chelmer CC) and Ian Short (API Metrow) took third with 29.02.
