Experienced Jamie Pine’s recent form was rewarded with a victory in the 10-mile Redmon CC event held near Dorking on Saturday with the Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT rider taking first place by almost a minute.
Pine has recorded a number of top-ten finishes over the season and despite being 27 seconds slower than his last time out on the course in July, he was still a comfortable winner this time out.
He stopped the clock at 20.48 with London Dynamo veteran Richard Mason second with 21.46. Christopher Revell, representing Cambridge University, was third in 21.47, just missing out on second place by a single second.
The only woman entrant, Rachel Baker of Mid Sussex Triathlon Club, powered round in 25.33 to take 18th overall.
Home club riders David Eccles and Jon Frost teamed up as a tandem and completed in 24.03.
