In Gear-Quickvit Trainsharp RT rider Peter Tadros bagged another victory as he clocked 20.38 in the East Sussex CA 10 on the G10/87 near East Hoathly in Sussex on Saturday.
The Hastings-based veteran took the win by 14 seconds from Mark Emsley (Team ASL360), while the final spot on the senior men’s podium was shared between Nick Malins (4T+ Velo Club) and Matthew Woods (Eastbourne Rovers CC) who were both another 33 seconds back.
The women’s prize went to Velopace rider Ruth Summerford whose time of 23.31 was 54 seconds quicker than Pip Jenkins (Southborough and District Wheelers). Third-placed Clare Parkholm (Lewes Wanderers) was another 1-05 back.
For Tadros, the win was the latest of several good rides this season. He won the VTTA Surrey/Sussex 10 back in June on the same course with a time seven seconds slower than his latest win, and was also victorious in the Southborough and District Wheelers’ 25.
The event takes riders from near East Hoathly on the A22 south east, through Golden Cross and on to the junction with the A267 on the outskirts of Hailsham before tracking back up to the finish at East Hoathly.
