Rhys Howells (Richardsons Trek RT) set a blistering time of 20 minutes and 41 seconds to take a comfortable victory in the Victoria CC 10.2-mile time trial in Essex.
Storming out and back on the B1383, Howells recorded an average speed of 29.59 miles per hour in perfect conditions but fell short of Alex Dowsett's course record of 19.47.
His time was comfortably enough to clinch his third victory of the season after also winning the Lee Valley CC 10 and Maldon & District CC 10 earlier in the season.
Behind the runaway winner Wayne Crombie (East London Velo) recorded 21.43 for second while Philip Murrell (Finsbury Park CC) led the rest of the pack home for third in 22.23.
In the two-up competition Karl Willis and David Daniels (Herts Rouleurs Racing Club) set a time of 22.20 for senior victory while Barry Mcdonald and James Wylie (Veloschils Interbike RT) won the veteran's two-up category in 22.54.
Team Vision Racing riders John Iszatt and Dean Lubin were the fastest tandem pairing in 22.27, while Sam Haynes, Simon Doyle and Steve Robinson (Team Salesengine.co.uk) were the fastest three-up in 22.49.
Fastest woman on the day was Julia Freeman (Easterly Road Club) whose time of 24.34 gave her a seven seconds victory over Mary Bower (Chelmer CC).
