Paralympic-bound Steve Bate (Para T) and Adam Duggleby (Secret Training CC) notched up easily the fastest time at the Rossington Wheelers 10-mile time trial in South Yorkshire on Saturday.
Changed from a 25-mile event because of roadworks on the scheduled course, the event took place at the nearby O10/1 at Hatfield Woodhouse, but the disruption did little to slow times down.
Bate and Duggleby clocked 18.36 – the fastest time on the day by almost two minutes, while the fastest solo rider was Darryl Wall (Out of the Saddle CC) with 20.31 to secure his fourth win in the last four events he has ridden.
The next two places were filled by Team Swift riders with Robbie Krygsman and Stewart Gormley clocking 20.37 and 20.56 respectively, while Nathan Allatt was the pick of the juniors, the talented youngster clocking 21.45 to take eighth overall in the colours of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines CA.
Ann Walsham (Maxx RT) was the fastest female with 24.41, while Wall was the top over 40 veteran and Krygsman the best over-50.
And Team Swift also won the two-rider team prize, with Krygsman being joined in the winning duo by Stewart Gormley.
