Ollie Jones (Ipswich BC) was victorious by a comfortable margin at the Anglia Velo 10 in East Anglia on Sunday, the 18-year-old riding to victory by a clear 30 seconds from runner-up Oliver Milk (Tri Anglia).
Jones was riding in only his second open TT event, taking first place with a time of 19:50 as the riders raced around the B10/35 on the A14 in sweltering conditions at Risby.
Second-place Milk was registering his second win in quick succession after he came in first at the East District CA in June, whereas third-place Matthew Senter had placed first at the Stowmarket & District CC in May.
James Wylie (Veloschils Interbike) came in fourth with a time of 21:31, Richard Carrington (West Suffolk Wheelers) was fifth on 21:38 and James Senter (Kings Lynn CC) sixth on 21:41.
Wylie’s fourth-place finish was enough to make him the fastest veteran with Carrington in second, whilst Rebecca Murley (Wisbech Wheelers) was the fastest woman finisher on 24:42 and Agata Milk (CC Breckland) the second fastest on 25:25.
