Drag2zero rider Keith Murray broke the course record on the M101 in County Durham on Sunday, tearing round in a time of 19.39.
With no courses as quick as the V178 in the north east, going under 20 minutes on a 10-mile course is something of a rarity and veteran Murray showed fantastic form to power round in record time.
Riding the course for the Cramlington CC 10, he was well up on the time of GS Metro’s Danny Grieves who made it round in 20.36 to finish second.
Liam Beatty of Hawick CC was third in 20.38. Fastest woman on the day was Sandy Cheung of Cestria CC in 29.25.
