Lewis Winfield (VC Londres) clocked an impressive time of 22.07 in the GHS (London South) 10-mile Championship, staged on the G10/97 course near Steyning in West Sussex on Saturday.
The 16-year-old was fastest by 40 seconds on the course from Steyning to Shoreham and back, while Lawrence Coyle (Brighton Excelsior CC) was second and his team-mate Jack Churchill was third, another eight seconds back.
Coyle and Churchill teamed up with Chris Dunstan to win the team prize, while the age categories saw Churchill take the 15-year-old prize. Preston Park YCC took the prizes for riders aged 14, 13 and 12 through Joseph Martin, Adam Churchill and Lukas Nerurkar respectively.
