Peter Lawrence (High Wycombe CC) took victory by 17 seconds on the lumpy Hemel Hempstead CC 25 miles course.

The 44-year-old clocked 53.48 around the route which saw riders travel down the A41 from near Bicester to the outskirts of Aylesbury before turning left onto B4011 for the last few miles.

Despite the course not being known for its fast times a good field of 50 riders and a tandem took to the start line.

Lawrence who was also victorious last weekend in the VTTA 50 by over a minute and a half was ran closer on this occasion by brothers Ross and Luke Clark (TMG Horizon CT).

The older of the pairing Ross came out on top clocking a 54.05 for second while Luke recorded a 54.16 for third.

Lawrence was also the fastest veteran and veteran on standard with a +13.03.

Fastest woman on the day was Liz Powell (Mike Vaughan Cycles) who recorded a time of one hour and 39 seconds.

Ross and Luke Clark led TMG Horizon CT to the team prize with Darren Powell clocking a 59.38 as their third counting rider.
