Peter Tadros (InGear Quickvit Trainsharp RT) took yet another time trial victory this season, winning the Southborough and District Wheelers 25 near Uckfield in Kent with on Sunday.

The Hasting rider’s time of 54.26 was considerably slower than his time in the same event the previous year, but was enough to beat Robert Rollings (Lewes Wanderers CC) into second place with 55.11.

Third placed rider was Ayrton Pope (Paceline RT) with 55.34.

Sophie Coleman (Drops Cycling Team) took an impressive eighth place overall, clocking 58.39 to win the women’s prize by nearly four minutes over Julia Hawksworth (Southborough and District Wheelers).

Lewes Wanderers CC denied the host club the team prize, with second placed rider Rollings joined by Samuel Ramsey (59.14) and Michael Valks (1:00.03) making a combined time of 2.54:28.

Tadros also took the vets on standard (+12.37) prize, beating fourth placed overall Christian Yates (+12.15) and Ian Hodge (+11.48).

Weather conditions were fine with a light south westerly wind, but the general feeling was it was not a particularly fast day on the G25/89 course along the A22 Uckfield bypass.
