Arrow Cycles rider Alex Colman stormed to a convincing victory in the Lincolnshire RRA 50-mile event on Saturday afternoon, clocking 1:49.35 to win by more than three minutes on the C50/2 course near Osbournby.
Colman won by 3.03 from Nigel Haigh (Strategic Lions), while third place went to Neil Palmer (Velo One CT) with 1:53.56, whose team-mate Antony Gough was around a minute and a half back in fourth.
Sarah Bentley (Spalding CC) was the fastest female with 2:28.15 for 40th spot overall.
Colman had to settle for second spot in the 2015 race with 1:51.22, when Joel Wainman took the win. But his 2016 time would’ve given him a convincing win 12 months earlier.
The course takes riders from near Swarby on the A15 up to Sleaford before returning and joining onto the A52 and heading West towards Grantham, back east to Donington and back towards the finish near Swarby.
