Oliver Milk (Tri Anglia Tri Club) won the East District CA 10-mile time trial – which was the District Championship – staged on the B10/37r near Tottenhill in Norfolk on Saturday morning.
The 37-year-old’s time of 20.59 gave him the win by 13 seconds from Paul Jay (Team Velovelocity) with Tom Fitzpatrick (Spirit RT) completing the podium in third, another 11 seconds back.
Milk is a strong athlete, having places third in the 2010 ITU World Sprint Triathlon in Hungary. Last year, he was third in the EDCA 10.
Diss and District CC’s Steve Gorbutt tied for fourth spot with Chris Skinner (Team Pedal Revolution) on 21.38, while Geoff Frost (Team Velovelocity) was another ten seconds back in sixth.
Veteran Verity Smith (Stowmarket and Dist CC) was the fastest female with 23.16 for 20th overall in a field of 65 riders, comfortably ahead of the next best rider Jennifer Smart (VC Norwich) who clocked 24.30.
Smith was also the fastest woman in the Plomesgate CC 25 earlier this month where she was an impressive 18th overall.
