Matthew Davies battled through wet conditions to clinch victory in Newport Shropshire CC 10 and lead a one-two for Rhino Velo.
Despite the conditions 33-year-old Davies stormed around the out and back A53 course turning at the Tern Hill airbase roundabout in 20.10.
Team-mate Kirk Vickers posted a personal best of 20.18 to finish eight seconds behind in second.
Bryn Davies (Hafren CC) also posted a personal best time and was just two seconds behind Vickers in 21.20, a time which was the fastest of the veterans.
Devon Round (Mid Shropshire Wheelers) posted a storming time of 21.42 which was fast enough for fifth overall and fastest junior.
The women’s prize was the closest fought on of the day with not a second separating Jenny York (Mid Shropshire Wheelers) and Pauline Hughes (Revolutions Racing) who both clocked 25.19.
