Paceline RT’s Pat Wright stormed to victory in the Farnham Road Club 10, staged on the H10/8 Bentley bypass course in Hampshire on Saturday.
Notching another victory in his impressive 2016 palmares, 31-year-old Wright clocked 20.13 to win by 31 seconds from Jon Hughes (VC Godalming and Haslemere), with Seb Ader (a3crg) third, another three seconds off the pace.
Among Wright’s previous performances this season are victories in both stages of the South Downs Bikes TT in February, as well as winning the Southern Coujnties CU 10 last month.
He placed second in the East Surrey RC hardriders 27-mile event in March, and was also runner-up in Kingston Wheelers’ sporting 14 in February as well as third in the Maidenhead and District hilly 30 in March.
Danuta Tinn (Maidenhead and District CC) was easily the fastest female, clocking 22.45 to win by 14 seconds from team-mate Jasmijn Muller, while Clare Campbell-Smith (Born to Bike-Bridgtown Cycles) was third.
There was also an event for the slowest riders on entry times, and the pick of those was Jon Elliott (Maidenhead and District CC) with 22.07.
And the tandem prize went to the Charlotteville CC pairing of David and Peter Butler with 23.56.
