James Rix of Crawley Wheelers proved to be the quickest on the day at the Old Portlians 10 event held in Broadbridge Heath on Saturday, with a time of 20.06.
The course is the quickest in the area but unfortunately only 41 riders turned out – a small field compared to previous years.
But those who did turn up performed well and veteran rider Peter Tadros of In-Gear Quickvit Trainsharp was second with a time of 20.16, ten seconds behind Rix.
Steven Kane of Brighton Excelsior was third in a time of 20.58 and the only woman to enter, Delia Beddis of Les Filles RT, completed in 24.10.
