Danny Axford (Arctic Tacx RT) set a new course record en route to winning the Oxonian CC 36 on the H36/18 at Charlbury, Oxfordshire on Sunday.
Axford smashed the previous record by more than four minutes as he romped to victory almost seven minutes ahead of second-place Dave Dent (Offshore RT).
Axford took the record in spite of what was a keen wind on the H36/18, with conditions otherwise dry and sunny on this particularly hilly course.
Runner-up Dent held off the challenge of Angus Fisk (Oxford University CC), the gap between second and third more than 35 seconds, whilst Richard Gildea (Didcot Phoenix) took fourth on 1:32:06 and Eamon Deely (Fuct United CC) was fifth on 1:32:06.
