Richard Sharp (York Cycleworks) was victorious at the Ravensthorpe CC 10 in West Yorkshire on Saturday, slipping into the lead by a time of 12 seconds from runner-up Mark Thaxter (HD Revolutions).
Thaxter took the runners-up spot from Dan Taylor who finished narrowly behind in third on 21:31, just four seconds back, whilst fourth place was taken by Anthony Ashworth (Wetherby Wheelers) on 21:41 with John Brearley (City RC Hull) in fifth on 21:49.
Sharp’s victory comes two years after he finished third on the V910 in the same race, with the Yorkshire rider having failed to finish in 2015.
Fastest female was Nikola Matthews (unattached) with 24-52, which was just five seconds quicker than Alex Deck in second.
And Nathan Allatt was the best of the juniors, clocking 22.04 to place seventh overall.
In the tandem race Julie and John Smithies of Cyclesense CC were victorious with a time of 24:34, Ian Clarke and Jack Levick were the winning partnership in the two-up on 22:21 and Chris Myhill (Peak Road Club) won the medium gear event on 24:17.
