Event headquarters: Beare Green Village Hall, Merebank, Beare Green, Dorking RH5 4RD IMPORTANT: Please note that the event headquarters are Beare Green Village Hall, which are not the usual headquarters for this course. Please follow the recommended route to the start and back from the finish. The recommended route to the start is 3.2 miles, please allow 15 minutes to get from HQ. The recommended route from the finish to HQ is 3.6 miles, please take extra care when turning right from the A24 back in to Old Horsham Road and consider stopping in the side road opposite in order to cross safely (described in more detail below). London South District Regulations ? No vehicles shall be parked on the carriageway within sight of the starting or finishing points ? No parking on the A24 or its verges. Beare Green and North Holmwood are residential areas – please be considerate to those who live there and park accordingly ? After finishing, all riders MUST continue to North Holmwood roundabout and take the appropriate exit Event headquarters Beare Green Village Hall, Merebank, Beare Green, Dorking RH5 4RD Event headquarters will be available from 1:00PM From the A24 either, follow signs to Beare Green / Holmwood Station, which will take you along Old Horsham Road. Merebank is a side road directly off Old Horsham Road 0.1 miles south of Holmwood Station. There is a small car park at the headquarters, if this is full please park on Old Horsham Road near Holmwood Station. Please be considerate of local residents and do not obstruct access to driveways. Holmwood Station (0.1 miles from event headquarters) has an hourly direct service originating from London Victoria (calling points include Clapham Junction, Sutton and Epsom). Route to start Please follow the below route to the start via North Holmwood roundabout for your own safety and that of fellow competitors approaching the finish of their ride. From HQ, turn left along Merebank and immediately left again on to Old Horsham Road. After 0.5 miles join A24 northbound. At this point you will be joining the course, please be considerate of riders completing their ride by proceeding swiftly to and through the finish without undue delay and by riding in single file. Stay on the A24 to North Holmwood roundabout (2.6 miles), take the third exit signposted North Holmwood (take great care). You will now be on Spook Hill, follow this road through the village of North Holmwood to reach the start (3.2 miles), which is 30 yards from junction with A24. Please allow at least 15 minutes to reach the start. Route back to HQ After passing the finish continue to North Holmwood roundabout (0.4 miles) (take great care), encircle the roundabout and return along the A24 southbound. Pass turning for Spook Hill (1.0 miles), from this point please be aware and considerate of riders commencing their ride. Turn right in to Old Horsham Road signposted Beare Green / Holmwood Station (2.6 miles) (take great care), please consider pulling in left into un-named side road with sign “Holmwood Corner”, which is a side road directly opposite the start of the right turn lane, from there you can stop and look back up the A24 before crossing in to the right-turning third lane, please be vigilant to all traffic when turning right including riders on the course. Once in Old Horsham Road proceed past Holmwood Station, Merebank is on your right (3.1 miles).
