Description

Headquarters, numbers & signing-on The headquarters is located in Lux Café, 5 Barugh Close, Melmerby Trading Estate, HG4 5NJ Ample parking is available either side of the Café. Please DO NOT park on the main road next to or adjacent to Nidd Transport. They will be working on Saturday and do need access. Refreshments will be available after your ride from the Café in exchange for a token that will be given to you on return of your race number. Getting to the start The start is approximately 4 miles from the headquarters. Turn left out of the estate, next right on Underlands Road, and left onto the A6055. The start being about 2 ½ miles north on the A6055. Warming up can be done on the lower part of the A6055. DO NOT park on QUERNHOW CAFE land. You are likely to be charged by the landowner. The A6055 is a clearway – No parking – No U Turns Please note that marshals are only to indicate your direction and not to control traffic in your favour. At each junction it is your responsibility to ensure that it is safe to proceed. Keep your head up and keep to the left of the carriageway. Can all riders shout out their number as they pass the finish. Safety In the interests of your own safety, Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise all riders to wear a hard shell helmet that meets an internationally accepted safety standard. NB. A hard shell helmet is compulsory for all riders aged under 18 years and all juniors. CTT recommends that a working rear light, either flashing or constant, is fitted to the machine in a position clearly visible to following road users, and is active whilst the machine is in use.
