COURSE:- E2/25 Start GR 634658 Finish GR 631659
START at paint mark on A142 just before slip road onto A14 westbound. Take slip road and continue onto A14 westbound, stay in left lane onto A11 where A14 diverges. Continue to Four Went Ways (12.77m), A1307 where take the slip road (M) to elevated roundabout,(Circle Roundabout) (M) to rejoin A11 Northbound. Retrace via A11 and A14 to FINISH at 4th drain cover on slip road to A142.
NOTE:- No vehicles to be parked on the slip road verge, it is a clearway and stopping is an offence.
NOTES TO RIDERS AND HELPERS AND LOCAL REGULATIONS
No warming up by competitors on the course once the event has started (No exit off the course for 7 miles)
No U Turns are allowed within sight of the start or finishing points. Riders carrying out this dangerous manoeuvre are liable for disqualification from the event and further disciplinary action by the District Committee.
There is no parking allowed in the vicinity of the start or finish
Body numbers will be situated at the event HQ. Exchange for a cup of tea in the Leisure Centre Cafe
Marshals placed to direct competitors off the main carriageway MUST NOT stand at the apex between the carriageway and slip road, but should be located at the start of the slip road. Marshals must wear a High Visibility jacket.
We have attracted a large entry of 250 so have accepted 15 reserve riders for those who didn't quite make the cut at 55.12. If you are unable to ride please contact me and I shall allocate your slot to a reserve. Please collect your number no later than 30 minutes before your start time otherwise your slot could be allocated to a waiting reserve. A reserve rider takes precedence over a late starter
IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY, Cycling Time Trials and the Event Promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL SAFETY HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.
All juniors and or riders under the age of 19 years are required to wear a suitably approved helmet.
