Event Headquarters
The Cat and Fiddle Inn, Buxton Road, Macclesfield, SK11 0AR.
Please, no shoe plates in the HQ.
Refreshments will be available from the bar, 1 free hot drink per returned number.
Numbers will be available in the H.Q. where the result board will be situated.
Neither Manchester Bicycle Club or The Cat and Fiddle Inn accept any responsibility for the safety of riders or their property.
Notes to Riders
Please declare when signing on your intended bike (road or TT), the road bike prizes shall be open to riders using a bike that can be used in a road race (no tribars or disc wheel).
It is strongly recommended that riders use a rear light during the event.
IN THE INTERESTS OF YOUR OWN SAFETY, Cycling Time Trials and the event promoters strongly advise you to wear a HARD SHELL HELMET that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.
Please note, no U-turns to be made in the start/finish areas, and please consider other road users when making left hand turns and don’t not swing right before making a left turn.
Specific instruction :-
Particular care must be taken negotiating the route through Gradbach and Flash, taking great care on the descent by the Chapel in Gradbach.
Look out for the bends in the road and be aware of minor roads either side of the course.
Take care when approaching the A54 from the A53 (11 miles), the corner is quite sharp.
After the finish riders must continue and return to the headquarters.
Do not distract the timekeepers.
There is no parking for vehicles at the finish or the starting point.
The route to the start (approximately 3 miles from the Cat and Fiddle Inn) will be sign posted, please allow enough time to get to the start in good time.
No cars will be permitted at the start or finish, parking is available at the Inn, and further parking in the side roads to the Goyt Valley. Please do no park on the course.
Having stated the warning above please ensure your brakes and gears are fully operational, you will definitely need both!!
