Rules for Road Bike Event:
The reason for this event is to encourage newcomers into the sport without the expense of having to buy a TT bike. Obviously, turning up on a megabucks aero road bike with clip on aero bars, deep section aero wheels and aero fairing is not really entering into the spirit of the event...so, use your common sense and try and keep things simple. No aero kit. We’ll let you off with wearing a skinsuit, but much more than that and you’ll miss the chance of collecting a prize. It’s not about rules and regulations, it’s about the sport and having fun...ok, winning as well!
In the interests of your own safety, Cycling Time Trials and the Event Promoter advise you to wear a hard shell helmet that meets an internationally accepted safety standard.
It is also recommended that a working rear light, either flashing or constant is fitted to your bike in a position visible to following road users and is active whilst you are riding.
LWDC 1. Reporting breaches of local regulations. All breaches of local regulations shall be reported to the London West District Secretary.
LWDC 2. Parking Restrictions. No vehicles except those of the timekeepers and other event officials, shall be parked in the vicinity of start and finish.
